It is so cute and tiny. The blue thing next to her is a regular plastic bottle cap filled with water.
This week, I was a winner of Marceline's Pay It Forward which means, of course, that I now have to do the same. Here are the details:
I am entering into a contract with the first 5 people who comment on this post and then commit to do the same on their blog. Just read below and if you feel up to the task, leave me a comment. Anyone can enter, as long as you make stuff and have a blog.
1. I make no guarantee that you will like what I make - whatcha get is whatcha get
2. What I create will be just for you, with love.
3. It’ll be done this year (2009)
4. I will not give you any clue what it’s going to be. It will be something made in the real world and not cyber
5. I reserve the right to do something strange or weird
6. In return, all you need to do is post this text on your blog and make 5 things for the first 5 to respond to your blog post.
It's up to you now. All I can say is that I'll make something cute ^_^
Well, I have done fairs before, but only at collectors fairs and that requires very little preparation, just put stuff in box and you're ready.
Well, here's the result of much work and long think tank sessions ;)
And my study now looks like a warzone :/
The Deer necklace won't be at the fair though as it sold this week :)
And here's the info about the fair, it is in Maastricht, The Netherlands on Sunday August 16th from 1pm to 7 pm. Craftparking.
So I always await those months fairly...anxiously :)
And I tend to find things even when I am not looking. Like this afternoon...I walked into a store with my mum...to find stuff for her...and guess who found something? ;)
The whole outfit for just under 15 Eur :)
I have way too many summer clothes, I know...
This week Audrone from Storm's Handicrafts chose "chess" for the European Street Team on Etsy.
Here's what I made. I really love this necklace. I think I'll make another one for myself ^_^
It is Queen Alice from Alice through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll. Drawing by Tenniel.
On the kittens front, Bob, Frank and Zoé are doing well, getting all chubby.
It's hard to work and not fall into kitten staring ;)
House work slowly getting done. I am doing my beadroom. Two walls are going to be orange, two other walls will be covered in gorgeous wallpaper.
I am slowly adjusting to my new house. I can't say I enjoy being by unfinshed work but I am getting used to it. If you're thinking of renovating a house, one piece of advice...hire only BIG companies. You might feel bad at first doing that and leaving out independant workers...but let's face it, independant workers are there to screw you...not renovate your house! Sloppy work, unfinished work, dangerous work...you name it, you'll get it!
And now on to a more fun topic...cats ^_^
The 3 kittens are doing extremely well. Frank, Bob and Zoé are growing. Frank is the only adventurous one so far.
Bob
and Zoé
The other cats are doing fine...except from Marvin. My poor old Marvin disappeared 2 weeks ago. I think he went out to die quietly in the "wild". RIP Marvin.
Marvin
And here's a little game, can you spot the 4 cats in this picture?
Daggett, Zouzou, Pikachu and Mario.
Yes, as you can see I am not finished unpacking yet...:/
My latest jewelry, available in my Etsy shop
Now Dina Fragola accessories are also available at Artfire. The shop is still a bit empty at the moment as I have not much time with all the work I need to finish myself in the house.
And you can also find me on Dawanda
Wow, I can't believe I have been in the new house for a week already. And what a week. I am pooped. It's a bit hard to adjust to the new surroundings, but the cats make it home :) Home is where Pikachu is, right =^.^=
On monday the 18th.
8 AM the truck is there...
It feels odd to see the house get emptied of its furniture and zillions boxes (not kidding, the removers called for extra help LOL)
They were done by 5 pm but the cat move was just starting for us.
I managed to get 7 home on the first day. Got the rest but 2 on the second and had to get sneaky for the 2 remaining ones. I had to give them relaxing pills so I could catch them.
But it's all done now...and they all seem happy in the new house and garden.
On the second night I had a surprise...my new extra cat (the one the neighbours gave up ) gave birth on my bed. I was sleeping and suddenly felt something warm and wet on me...I opened my eyes to see Eugenie (the catmom) with a dark lump...lump was kitten #1.
She had 3 (only 3 I am saying with relief). And they are ADORABLE.
Arent' they just perfect...all fluffy and chubby :) ?
Thanks a lot Heli! It was fun to do...and Pikachu enjoyed the attention =^.^=
Beavis and Butthead do DIY OH MY
As we're moving in less than a month, owners of the rented house we're currently in decided it was the ideal moment to replace the kitchen and bathroom. Yeah, they know about the move...
This house is part of "social housing". In the past, well, 40 years ago, when this house was built, it's still meant something. Nice houses, with no frill but high quality building standards.Things have changed since then. Now social housings in Belgium is pretty much the land of corruption and disrespect for people living in those houses.
The bathroom was replaced 7 years ago, it was like new...why did they decide it needed to be changed again? Especially by Beavis and Butthead. The kind of workers they hire these days, not too bright to start with ...and, gee...the poor work they do :/
Just take a look.
Looks as flimsy as it is...I almost kicked one out just by vacuuming around it :/
I just love how it fits so nicely into the the sink..and how it hides the pipes behind it so well. I am not kidding, they left it just like that.
See the wire...it used to be the Earth wire of the bathroom light...(previous poor job of other Beavis's and Buttheads). Now it is officially illegal to use the bathroom light as no insurance will cover that (most obviously). The fun part, is that they cut the wire but left it there and tiled around it.
I am sparing you the finished picture, I think you can imagine the tiling work fairly easily. I am disgusted, I had tiled that bathroom myself, with nice stylish blue and white ceramic tiles...and now ...it looks like you left a 3 year old play with plaster in there.
The kitchen. They tore away the sink with it's nice furniture ( 3 drawers, a nice work top)...it all had a nice vintage feel and was not damaged. OK, no hot water but surely they could have left everything in place and added a boiler. Noooo, everything went...Now, no more drawer, no more work top and a cheap sink and even cheaper furniture. Oh, and the tiniest boiler ever...perfect if Barbie wants a bath...useless if you want to wash the dishes.
I love how the doors hang so straight and all...the black stain doesn't come off either. And notice how they tore the wallpaper on the side (no idea why as it was not in the way of anything) Ah, the love of a job well done!
This must be my favorite part, the little boiler is under the sink...and here's its cable...Beavis (or was it Butthead?) unplugged the microwave to plug the boiler in. Luckily he didn't decide to unplug the fridge instead... Sorry, I didn't take pictures after the tiling was done...but it is quite funny (and totally unsafe), as they plastered the electric cable in place.
But really, what puzzled me the most is that on the first day they were actually happy to show me their work!!!! I bet they could tell I was totally unimpressed because on the last day they left without saying anything...and with some wine bottles they stole from the basement. I won't be too sorry if they poison themselves with it. What kind of excuses have they got for such mediocre work?
In a couple of months a family with 4 little children is going to move in...
The Axe Kitchen (as in "made with an axe")
And now :)
Well, my cell phone pix don't do it justice ;)
I'll take good pictures when everything is done. The cooker is not there yet...and the microwave oven is also missing.
The dishwasher is WORKING !!!! Too bad the guy forgot the instruction booklet inside when he tested it :/ I now have a very clean booklet.
I have been really busy with the new house. The new tile floor is almost finished, the kitchen is being installed tomorrow and the bathroom should soon follow. I move in May and I am getting really nervous...I have not done much packing yet.
Well Pikachu packed himself as soon as he saw an empty box. He doesn't seem too thrilled though...
I have been neglecting my shops a little bit lately. But I have finally made a new piece (for the EST challenge on Etsy). I really like those new frames I got.
Available in my Etsy shop
This week my mom dragged me out of the house (fighting and kicking) to go shopping. It turned out I was in a shopping mood after all ;)
I got a green raincoat from H&M
2 Alice in Wonderland shirts from Zara
And super kitsch sport shoes by Skechers
And I also got my present from my Secret Bunny...but I'll have to re-take the pictures as they turned out all blurry. But a BIG thanks to Evelyn from SumikoShop... I love my presents (very classy earrings and a super cute brooch, all packed in the cutest way)And I heard that the notary who sold the house went out of business...gee, I wonder why?
